We stayed at Hotel Fouillade in Argentat for a few nights and had a wonderful experience. The hotel had a unique and charming atmosphere, with a mix of 50's artist and Renaissance vibes. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a nice en suite bathroom. Despite the initial gruffness, the proprietor turned out to be friendly and helpful, especially when recommending another Auberge for dinner. He even went above and beyond by storing our bikes and bringing them back out for us. The central location was convenient, with good parking nearby and a popular restaurant. we highly recommend this hotel.
